Does your school have a BYOD policy? If so, yodio would be a great tool to try out for some creative student assessments or a fun way to simply communicate with students. Be sure to check out Melanie Pitts' Screencast of yodio below. Melanie does a great job of giving a clear explanation of this presentation tool. Yodio is a FREE video generator that works with your cell phone by allowing you to upload your images to you yodio account, while using your cell phone to record audio comments surrounding those images. It seems very quick and easy to use and would seem appropriate for secondary students most certainly.
It's kind of like a scrolling scrapbook...That's my definition of VUVOX once I watched Patricia Mann's well-done Screencast on this FREE presentation tool. VUVOX is a free tool that acts like an online canvas in which you can upload images, move and resize images onto that canvas, and add text to it all. There is even a place to insert a video URL (Youtube, for example) into the collage as well. This collage is then turned into a moving slideshow, that when published, provides a permanent link URL to use on your website, Facebook page, etc. The possibilities are endless, but one suggestion was to use a VUVOX to produce the monthly library report. What a great idea.
